As you know, we have had a multitude of posts on Elite Skiing over the past 2+ years dealing with various ways to get in shape for skiing. Sometimes, however, there is too much information and it becomes very confusing to those of us who do not spend hours every day in a gym. Several weeks ago I approached Fred Lepine and discussed the possibility of putting together a simple program of 20 exercises using equipment that could be found in virtually any exercise facility. This program would be for those people who just want to maintain a good, year round fitness base that would apply to alpine skiing. Fred was the ideal person to put this together as he is a Kinesiologist, a personal trainer, a CSIA Level 4 instructor, Clinician and a member of the CSIA Demo Team in 2015.
And to Fred, thank you so much for this well thought out and well explained program. I intend to use it myself.
